Acupuncture is one branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that has been developed and practiced in China, Japan and other Asian countries for more than 2000 years. It has grew and increasing popularity in the West over the last 2-3 decades, which has led to more and more clinical trials being performed that have certified acupuncture's efficiency.
The theory behind acupuncture treatment is that the healthy functioning of the body is governed by the flow of “qi” (often translated as “energy”) through a system of channels under the skin. When this flow of qi is impaired, illness occurs, by inserting fine needles at various points along the channels, the body’s balance can be restored and the illness resolved.
Acupuncture is effective because it is a holistic therapy that addresses the root cause of the problem as well as the symptoms. This means that as a result of acupuncture treatment you will experience a general progress in the wellbeing as well as, relief from pain and discomfort.
During an acupuncture treatment, very small, fine, and sterile needles are inserted just below the surface of the skin to stimulate certain points. The sensation of acupuncture can feel like a numb, tingling, or dull aching sensation which lasts only for a few moments. I use a variety of different acupuncture methods depending on individual needs and what is required to produce the desired results. These may include the following: Balance Method; Master Tung acupuncture, blood pricking, and Motor Point acupuncture. I may include with acupuncture treatments massage or cupping, if necessary to get optimal results.

Motors Points Acupuncture & Mayofashial release techniques
The easy answer to this is that they release hypertonic or tight muscles and strengthen weak skeletal muscles, basically, the muscle gets restarted to function properly, it’s like a little restart button for muscles. The more scientific explanation is that motor points are the entry site of the motor nerves into the muscle where acupuncture needles can be used to retrain neuromuscular function that has been lost due to an injury. With this way of acupuncture, patients with musculoskeletal issue can heal much more efficiently and have increased range of motion, can regain muscle strength, and have improved ADLs (activities of daily living) faster than with just regular acupuncture.
Motor points can be an amazing and efficient way to treat musculoskeletal issues and can offer fast relief and fast recovery. It helps to restart muscle function and increase a range of motions, Motors Points Acupuncture can also treat stress in the neck, jaw, headaches, migraines and stress causing or caused by muscles that are overstretched and stiff.

About the Colon
Health begins in your colon, so it’s important to keep it clean. Colon hydrotherapy is one of the best ways that can help improve your body’s overall health and wellness, and keep your body in tip top condition. Everyone, young, old, male or female can benefit from the treatment and you don’t need to be ill to gain those amazing health benefits.
The colon is the large intestine that forms the last part of the digestive tract. The colon is responsible for the absorption of water, the assimilation of nutrients and minerals, as well as the synthesis of vitamins it completes the digestive process. The colon is responsible for the elimination of food and other waste and it is the major organ in the excretory system. The colon is also our emotional seat. It’s the gut-brain connection where good health starts. The large intestine fulfils a number of vital functions, however, this system can be easily upset by stress, diets, medications, lifestyle choices, alcohol and smoking.
How Can Colonic Irrigation Benefit Me?
Colonic Irrigation can be extremely beneficial in treating ailments such as acid reflux (heartburn), bloating, candida albicans, constipation, diarrhoea, halitosis (bad breath), IBS, indigestion, leaky gut and so much more.
Colon hydrotherapy or colonic irrigation releases faecal matter, gas and toxins from your body by gently bathing the colon in purified water.
People who have had a colonic cleanse tend to experience a boost in energy and get a better night’s sleep. This is because your body is no longer using energy to force waste through the intestines; providing relief from lethargy and fatigue.
When the colon is cleansed, it allows waste to pass through your system and allows good nutrients to be absorbed into the colon once again. Colonic hydrotherapy also hydrates the bowels and helps to eliminate built up waste, preventing constipation.
Every year more than 16,000 people die of bowel cancer in the UK. In fact, it is the leading cause of cancer death in non-smokers in the western world. Colon cleansing forces all the toxins out of these organs and decreases the risk of cancer developing in the colon and gastrointestinal tract.
The majority of people have too high and acidity level in their bodies due to high protein diets of meat, dairy and grains. Colonic irrigation can help to alkalise the body and maintain the recommended balance of ph. An alkalised body helps to prevent disease, improve energy levels and help your skin look more youthful.
A clean colon allows purely water, nutrients and vitamins to be absorbed into your bloodstream
Colonic hydrotherapy assists in the disposal of waste and toxins from the body, leading to feelings of lightness, increased energy and an overall sense of healthier wellbeing.
Colonic irrigation can help to speed up your metabolism and can result in significant weight loss due to the release of waste material from the colon.
